Which British author wrote The Time Machine and War of the Worlds?
Correct answer H.G. Wells
Fact
Did you know?
H. G. Wells published several seminal works of science fiction at the end of the 19th century, including “The Time Machine”, “The Island of Doctor Moreau”, “The Invisible Man” and “The War of the Worlds”. His stories use scientific hypotheses to question evolution, imperialism, inequalities and the future of societies. Along with Jules Verne and other authors, he is often presented as one of the fathers of modern science fiction, rather than its sole founder. Wells imagined many technical and political transformations, but attributing to him a precise prediction of the Internet goes beyond what his texts establish.
