Fact
Did you know?
The Wannsee Conference was held near Berlin on January 20, 1942 under the leadership of Reinhard Heydrich. Representatives of several ministries and organizations of the Nazi regime coordinated their participation in the deportation and extermination of the Jews of Europe. The meeting did not decide on the “Final Solution” for the first time: persecutions, deportations and mass massacres, notably those committed by the Einsatzgruppen in the east, had already begun. The preserved minutes above all show how the German administrative apparatus was mobilized to organize and extend a genocidal policy already underway.
