Controller
Qulture is operated by Martin Berbesson. This policy describes how Qulture handles data in its mobile application. For any privacy request, contact contact@qulture-app.com.
Data we process
Qulture does not require users to create an account. The app processes the following data through the services listed below:
- Usage and interaction data, technical identifiers, and device/app information through Firebase Analytics, to understand how the app is used and improve it.
- Crash reports, device/app state, and technical identifiers through Firebase Crashlytics, to diagnose and fix technical issues.
- Push token, notification permission status, device/app information, and notification interactions through OneSignal, to provide push notifications and measure their delivery and interaction.
- An anonymous app user identifier and subscription or purchase history through RevenueCat, to provide Premium access and restore purchases. Payment card details are handled directly by Google Play or the App Store and are not received by Qulture.
- The profile email address, player identifier, language, consent record, and Premium status through Brevo, to send a limited onboarding or Premium information sequence to eligible profiles.
- Quiz progress, favourites, and preferences stored locally on the device.
We do not collect microphone recordings or precise location data. Firebase Analytics derives approximate location from a masked IP address for analytics.
Why we use data
We use this data to provide and maintain Qulture, deliver and restore Premium subscriptions, send enabled notifications, send Qulture marketing emails covered by the existing consent, analyse usage, improve the app, and prevent or resolve technical problems. Subscription processing is necessary to provide the requested service.
Service providers and transfers
We use Google Firebase (Analytics and Crashlytics), OneSignal (notifications), RevenueCat (subscription management), and Brevo (Qulture email delivery and automation) as service providers. They process the data described above to provide their services to us. These providers may process data outside your country, subject to their applicable safeguards. We do not sell personal data or use it for personalised advertising in Qulture.
Retention and your choices
Data is retained only for as long as necessary for the purposes above and according to the applicable provider settings and legal obligations. Every Qulture email includes an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribes, complaints, invalid addresses, and hard bounces are retained so the address is not automatically subscribed again. Deleting a profile removes its Qulture-specific data and list memberships without deleting another service’s independent use of the same address. You may request access, correction, deletion, or information by emailing contact@qulture-app.com.
Security
Data sent by the app is transmitted over encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect data.
Changes
We may update this policy when our practices change. The current version is published on this page.
Website analytics
With your consent, the Qulture website uses Google Analytics 4 to measure viewed pages, navigation interactions, and clicks to app stores. The data is used only to understand website use and improve its content; Qulture does not use this measurement for personalised advertising.
You can accept, decline, or change this choice at any time through the “Preferences” link in the website footer.
