Nature
Which of these fruits is particularly rich in vitamin C?
Correct answer Acerola
Fact
Did you know?
Acerola is a small red fruit native to tropical regions of the Americas. It is particularly rich in vitamin C, with a content generally much higher than that of the orange, but this concentration varies depending on the variety, maturity, growing conditions and storage. The fruit is consumed fresh, in juice, in puree or in powder and extract form. It does not necessarily hold the absolute world record: Kakadu plum, camu-camu and other fruits can have comparable or higher contents. A fixed factor like “80 times orange” should therefore not be generalized.
